Global Meeting held in Arlington, Virginia, April 3-4, 2002


The objective of the Global Meeting was to enlighten the Safeguard Policy review process by bringing together a group of informed stakeholders from private sector sponsors, NGOs, regional development banks, research institutes, government aid agencies, and private consulting firms. These individuals were selected especially for their policy level knowledge, compared to the regional workshop participants who were selected primarily for their project level knowledge.
