Review of IFC Safeguard Policies


A regional workshop was held from February 28 through March 1, 2002 in Cape Town, South Africa. The purpose of the workshop was to enable the independent team conducting the Review to obtain stakeholder perspectives on--and discuss ways to improve--the implementation, impact and effectiveness of IFC's Safeguard Policies. The perspectives shared at the workshop will contribute to the Final Report and the future of IFC's Safeguard Policies.
