Review of IFC's Safeguard Policies


A regional workshop was held on February 13-14, 2002 in Montevideo, Uruguay. The purpose of the workshop was to enable the independent team conducting the Review to obtain stakeholder perspectives on--and discuss ways to improve--the implementation, impact and effectiveness of IFC's Safeguard Policies. The perspectives shared at the workshop will contribute to the Final Report and the future of IFC's Safeguard Policies.
