Kojo, a Ghanaian national, has more than 20 years of experience in environmental and social risk management, particularly in the extractive industries. His operational-level expertise includes impact assessment, resettlement, human rights, community development, stakeholder engagement, due diligence, and the application of international standards such as the World Bank ESF and IFC Performance Standards. He holds degrees from the University of Ghana, the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, and the Fletcher School in Boston.
Since April 2026, Kojo has been on a development assignment with CAO from the World Bank’s Inspection Panel. Before joining the Inspection Panel in January 2025, he worked with TotalEnergies, BG Group, and Newmont Mining across Africa, Europe, and the Americas. He began his career as a broadcast journalist with the BBC World Service and later worked as a political risk consultant at Control Risks Group in London.
