Srujani Shrawne is an Indian national with a decade of experience in sustainability, environmental and social (E&S) risk management, safeguards, and project management. She joined CAO in 2026 on a development assignment.
Srujani began her career at Reckitt in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, where she was responsible for sustainability data management and reporting, capacity building, and external assurance processes across global operations. She subsequently joined the World Bank Group, serving first with the IFC Environmental and Social (E&S) team and later with the MIGA E&S team. At IFC and MIGA, she worked on the environmental and social aspects of projects throughout the project cycle, spanning both pipeline and portfolio stages. Her responsibilities included leading and supporting E&S due diligence, risk assessment, supervision, and portfolio monitoring. Her experience with the WBG spans renewable energy, manufacturing, real estate, and infrastructure projects across South Asia, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.
She holds a Master’s degree in Natural Resources from Virginia Tech, a Postgraduate Diploma in Renewable Energy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from India. She also holds a Certificate in Sustainable Investing from the CFA Institute.
